A renowned master knifemaker, Stéphane Rambaud was born in Lyon in 1968. Trained at the prestigious Nogent Cutlery School, he was awarded the Gold Medal for Best Apprentice in France in 1987, an emblematic distinction recognizing outstanding French craftsmanship. After an exceptional career within some of France’s finest cutlery houses, he joined the Forge de Laguiole workshops in 2005. Since then, he has been creating unique Laguiole folding knives inspired by his creativity and technical expertise, while remaining faithful to the identity of the authentic Laguiole knife.
