Each exceptional knife is a unique piece, entirely handcrafted, embodying the excellence of French cutlery craftsmanship upheld by Forge de Laguiole since 1987.
Stéphane Rambaud, Master Cutler
Born in Lyon in 1968 and trained at the École de Coutellerie de Nogent, Stéphane Rambaud was awarded the gold medal for Meilleur Apprenti de France (Best Apprentice of France) in 1987. He joined the Forge de Laguiole manufactory in 2005, where he creates unique Laguiole folding knives, true to the identity of the authentic Laguiole knife.
A 12 cm Laguiole knife in green reconstituted stone with a mammoth ivory bolster inlay, finished with Stéphane's signature touches: a twisted spring and a bee with brass wings.
This 12 cm Laguiole folding knife is distinguished by its handle in mammoth molar, enhanced by a juniper wood inlay and bolsters. Its spring and forged bee are hand-chiselled and decorated, while its satin-finished blade lends the piece elegance and restraint.
A true collector's Laguiole knife, this creation signed by Stéphane Rambaud embodies the union of Aubrac heritage and French artisanal excellence.

Born in 1968, Stéphane Rambaud’s initial training took place at the Cutlery School of Nogent from which he graduated in 1987 with the Apprentice’s Gold Medal. A talented, passionate and outstanding technician, he has been working at the Forge de Laguiole for over 20 years. His bespoke creations, entirely handmade, are now prized all over the world. Each knife bears the mark of his high standards: each piece is carefully adjusted, sculpted and assembled to form a functionally elegant and perfectly harmonious piece.
