This range of Forge de Laguiole folding knives features a hand-chiselled guilloche pattern and a cast, then sculpted bee. This lends the Forge de Laguiole folding knife its characteristic beauty. The Edition Collection folding knives are available in 3 versions, all entirely made in our Laguiole based ateliers and available for purchase on our online shop. Their guilloche patterns and names are inspired by plants growing on the Aubrac plateau as follows: Daffodil, Broom Brush, and Gentian. The knives in this collection are made with a blade of stainless steel produced exclusively for Forge de Laguiole; it is the basic requirement for our knives’ effortless sharpening, which guarantees the exceptional quality of the cut.
As most of the materials used are of natural origin, their appearance (color, veining, grain) may vary from one article to another; in this respect, the photos on this site are not binding.
The engraving is applied to the back of the blade using a diamond tip.
This option is not available for Damascus or "Brut de Forge" blades.
To avoid errors, please check your engraving before confirming your order.
This option does not require additional delivery time.

The bee is one of the symbol on our traditional knives Forge de Laguiole. It is forged and is an integral part of the spring.
To protect the handle in daily use, our knives are fitted with end bolsters. The so-called mitres are made of steel or traditionally of brass and close off the handle. They are individually forged and attached to the drilled and polished plates.
Delicacy, complexity, aesthetics: guillochage, a goldsmith's work, combines all of these. A particularly filigree pattern is created from several interweaving wavy lines. The decoration is worked into the front of our table knives and the nib of our folding knives.
Precious wood, horn, bone or even mammoth molar - we carefully select the materials for our handles. By hand, our knifemakers carve and shape each individual handle.
The blades of our folding knives are hot forged from French steel and can have a shiny or satin finish. Thanks to our T12 steel, our blades have exceptional sharpness, excellent edge retention and remarkable sharpenability, while always maintaining the unalterability of the blade.
