We work to implement responsible production processes, with careful selection of our raw materials. Our steel is made in France at the Bonpertuis steelworks in Isère.
We recycle our scrap metal. Scrap metal is resold. Polluting waste is recycled or disposed of according to specific destruction procedures.
Our knives are durable products that can be handed down from generation to generation, and are repairable for life.
Living Heritage Company
Created in 2005, the Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant – EPV (Living Heritage Company) label is a state-approved label for all companies with outstanding expertise combining tradition and innovation. It is awarded for five years after a rigorous selection process.
The EPV label has been renewed in 2023 for Forge de Laguiole.
