The Original Sommelier Knife Forge de Laguiole® was created in collaboration with professional Sommeliers and thus gives it its ergonomics, elegance, and efficiency.
The conical spiral, with 5 turns, of the Original Forge de Laguiole corkscrew optimises its functionality, especially for the delicate corks of the finest vintage wines. The lever, whose operating principle is patented, is casted from heated metal and as a result is very resistant, hence can withstand intensive use.
The blade of the Forge de Laguiole® Sommelier knife is sharpened, allowing the capsule to be cut off cleanly and easily.
As most of the materials used are of natural origin, their appearance (colour, veining, grain) is likely to vary from one item to another. The photos on our official online shop are not contractually binding.
Our Sommeliers knives come with an elegant leather case.

Opening the finest vintage wines with sometimes fragile corks requires the perfect tool. With our sommelier knives you can open even old wines with ease - thanks to the conical spindle with five turns.
The blades of our sommelier knives are sharpened so that you can cut the capsule easily and cleanly.
Precious wood, horn, bone or even mammoth molar - we carefully select the materials for our handles. By hand, our knifemakers carve and shape each individual handle.
To protect the handle in daily use, our knives are fitted with end bolsters. The so-called mitres are made of steel or traditionally of brass and close off the handle. They are individually forged and attached to the drilled and polished plates.
